Modular EvoSlitter for the Fraunhofer FFB

One of the most important key technologies for the future will be the optimal power supply. In this context, the storage of electricity is of enormous importance for society. The Fraunhofer Research Institution for Battery Cell Production FFB located in Münster, is therefore to become the center of development of a modern and scalable battery cell production for Germany and Europe. To achieve this goal, the Fraunhofer FFB relies on cooperation with a wide variety of companies.

In cooperation between Fraunhofer FBB and Kampf LSF, a new modular EvoSlitter was created. Kampf LSF brings in-depth know-how and years of personal experience, both in cutting and winding technology as well as in the production of battery cells to the joint effort. The EvoSlitter is a cutting machine specially designed for cutting electrode materials of lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors. Thanks to its compact design, the EvoSlitter is the ideal machine for research and pilot plants, as well as for the production of battery cells.
